    Angie Allcock, the Director
    With over 20 years experience and a track record of success, she has set up The People Advantage to work with public, private and voluntary sector businesses, SMEs and social enterprises, delivering innovative, workable, cost-effective solutions. We help busy leaders identify any 'pinch points', create effective managers, develop a talent pool or upskill the workforce.

    Angie considers herself privileged to have supported diverse, international employees at all levels of organisations, including executive teams. In addition to her work in Higher Education; her private sector experience includes small and large businesses, a US manufacturing company, a global, market leader in high-end customer service and a supplier to the rail industry. She is known for her ability to take a ‘helicopter view’ of an organisation, make sense of the whole, whilst honing in on any sticking points.

    As a Learning and Development Specialist, Angie’s approach is to design innovative, workable training solutions where formal learning is blended with informal elements. She is an accomplished deliverer of virtual learning, complemented perfectly by her coaching practice. She develops a genuine rapport and really understands what makes her clients ‘tick’.

    She has worked throughout South West England and South Wales e.g. career coaching in Bradford on Avon; HR consultancy in Bath; creating training for business-critical talent in Exeter; devising a blended learning strategy in Swindon; delivering leadership development in Bristol; mentoring HR colleagues in South Wales. She has designed and delivered a popular, regional, middle managers' programme for over 10 years, with delegates from Portsmouth to Falmouth to Swansea and Worcester.

    And she has walked the walk! Having managed both under-performing and high-performing teams, she has experienced the challenges of operational management and senior leadership, creating teams from scratch, leading through times of transition. All of this informs her practice.

    I am a fully qualified Business and Executive Coach. As a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, I subscribe to and abide by their code of ethics. which means you can be confident that I undertake regular ongoing training, am appropriately supervised and abide by a strict code of confidentiality and ethics which states that I will:

  • Maintain throughout the level of confidentiality which is appropriate and is agreed at the start of the relationship.
  • Disclose information only where explicitly agreed with the client and sponsor (where one exists), unless I believe there is convincing evidence of serious danger to the client or others if the information is withheld;
  • Act within applicable law and not encourage, assist or collude with others engaged in conduct which is dishonest, unlawful, unprofessional or discriminatory.
