The transformational effect of coaching

In a relationship of confidentiality and trust, working with their agenda, and at their pace, the coachee will find his/her own opportunities and solutions to:

  • identify what s/he wants to achieve professionally/personally, and why
  • enhance self-awareness
  • develop focus, resilience, ideas to achieve goals
  • increase strategic knowledge and operational skills
  • develop a distinctive leadership style.

Duration - can be just 1/2 sessions, most coachees value a series of 4 or 5 sessions.

Virtual or face to face? At the time of writing, face-to-face meetings are possible in South West England, but equally, throughout lockdown Angie has been coaching effectively through the zoom platform.
Working with Angie, I have gained fresh insight and perspective during periods of rapid and complex change which I have been experiencing. (Senior leader – private sector)

    ..... to support career development

According to the CIPD, a third of employees say they're unlikely to fulfil their career aspirations in their current organisation, with implications for staff turnover, morale and productivity.

With vertical progression routes becoming less typical, managers may need to think more creatively about development opportunities.

We can also help individuals who want career support to:

  • identify next steps
  • deal with a challenge e.g. career crossroads or plateau
  • develop key knowledge, skills or perspective.
  • improve your personal impact.

  • Here’s what a diverse range of clients, say about Angie's coaching:

"I enjoyed the session and valued the opportunity to talk candidly about things. You definitely have a strong ability to make people feel at ease and listened to, as without this, I probably would have been less forthcoming. Your non-judgemental approach also supported this. The session gave me some alternative perspectives on situations and viewpoints that I’ve perhaps held onto rather rigidly, so this was beneficial as well. Thank you for your time and help.......…an independent professional who is able to listen, guide and advise – excellent!"Career Coaching)

“To help me feel more comfortable in my role, we explored my leadership style; assumptions I make; how to manage my energy as a leader; knowing what needs to be in place to be successful; knowing how to build resilience; creating a supportive environment within which to thrive and working patiently with a range of colleagues. It has been incredibly valuable ... I have been able to manage both senior and junior staff more effectively which has resulted in tangible benefits to X and the organisation”.
    (senior leader).

"She is particularly skilled at providing fresh insight into my leadership style and more importantly the drivers behind my leadership behaviours. There are always moments of shared insight.
    (senior academic leader)

"Coaching with Angie made a significant difference from the start, enabling me to cope effectively with significant changes at work and take a more balanced approach to my working life. I am more focussed, less stressed and have re-engaged with planning and strategy.”
    (middle manager - Higher Education).

"Working with Angie, I have gained fresh insight and perspective during periods of rapid and complex change which I have been experiencing.
    (senior leader – private sector)

"I tend to coach others to find own solutions now, before I felt I had to find the solutions for them, I was reducing their opportunity to develop. I am harnessing the energy of the team. A win-win situation.
    (Engineer – private sector)

Why you might be interested in the Team Management Profile (TMP)

The Team Management Profile (TMP) will help you get to know more about yourself, the way you lead and communicate with others and how team members make different contributions. The TMP provides a common language for you and your team.
It’s about managing and leading teams

The TMP is most powerful when used with whole teams. You may be working with a well-defined, established team, or perhaps your team is loose or fragmented. or you are managing in a matrix. You may be in charge of a transitory alliance, or a team that is culturally or functionally diverse.
As a follow up to this team event, I can provide additional sessions focussing on specific areas such as communication, stress, conflict or negotiation.

"It helped to really clarify lots of things that you usually only think about subconsciously - how your values and relationships and so on affect, or should affect, your career choices; about the way I learn and approach different tasks. You tend to lean towards your strengths rather than thinking, ‘Is there another way we could tackle this?"

Please email for examples of TMP profiles, case studies or any other information you need. .

Why you might be interested in MBTI®

Trained by the leading practitioner in the UK, Angie sees MBTI as a tool to start a conversation not an end in itself. We are more than just the sum of our preferences and at the end of our session you will not feel you have been 'put in a box'.

MBTI is the best known, most trusted personality assessment on the market, providing a constructive, flexible framework for understanding individual differences and strengths and helping you understand your personality traits, biases, drives, stresses, triggers and strengths, within or outside the context of a group.

Angie has undergone extensive training to deliver both Steps 1 and 2.

  • MBTI Step 1 identifies personality type, provides a positive framework to explain how we interact with the world and each other.
  • MBTI Step 2 drills into the detail of Step I, provides insight into the unique way in which we express our personality type; as we mature throughout our lives and when we are under stress.

The result is a highly personalised profile and development plan to help improve communication, make better decisions, manage change, deal with conflicts and build cohesive teams.

MBTI can also be used on team events to increase the team’s awareness and raise the level of mutual respect for each other’s personality types. Alternatively, we could deploy the TMP with your team.

Afterwards, I can provide additional sessions to review the implications of your profile in the context of specific factors e.g. stress, conflict or negotiation.

Please email for examples of MBTI profiles, and any other specific information, free of charge.

Why you might be interested in the Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI)

Because no two individuals have exactly the same expectations and desires, conflict is a natural part of our interactions with others.

TKI has been the leader in conflict resolution assessment for over 40 years and is designed to measure a person's behaviour in conflict situations where the concerns of two people appear to be incompatible. Used sensitively, it can open discussions on difficult issues and facilitate learning about how conflict-handling modes affect personal, group, and organisational dynamics.

Please email if you would like to explore further using the TKI.
