Choosing a coach to work with is a big step. I always arrange an initial 'taster' to help you decide if you want to proceed. (Take a look at 'What coaching is and is not' and 'frequently asked questions - coaching' below.)
The coaching contract:
with just the coachee or, when appropriate, a 3-way agreement between the coach, the coachee and their organisation
duration varies - can be just 1 session, most coachees value a series of 4 or 5 sessions.
face-to-face meetings are the norm, but this can be mixed with video conferencing sessions.
"Angie's awareness of and ability to deploy a range of tools and conceptual frameworks were very helpful: she was able to pass on tools and ways of thinking which will remain useful well beyond the coaching sessions themselves".

“To help me feel more comfortable in my role, we explored my leadership style; assumptions I make; how to manage my energy as a leader; knowing what needs to be in place to be successful; knowing how to build resilience; creating a supportive environment within which to thrive and working patiently with a range of colleagues. It is has been incredibly valuable ... I have been able to manage both senior and junior staff more effectively which has resulted in tangible benefits to X and the organisation”.
"She is particularly skilled at providing fresh insight into my leadership style and more importantly the drivers behind my leadership behaviours. There are always moments of shared insight.
